AYRSHIRE SCRATCH LEAGUES - Royal Troon move ahead at top of Division 1

Royal Troon moved a step nearer to their first ever Ayrshire Scratch league Division 1 title with a narrow 3.5 - 2.5 win away to Loudoun recently.

The win moved Royal Troon clear of Kilmarnock Barassie at the top of the table, with the additional advantage of having a game in hand.

In DIVISION 2, Prestwick St Cuthbert remain top of the table, despite a second successive defeat, this time away to Turnberry by 4-2. Though the result reignited Turnberry's hopes of the title, their challenge suffered a blow three days later with a 4.5-1.5 defeat away to Ayr Belleisle.
