THE AYRSHIRE JUNIOR GOLF LEAGUE - draws made for 2023 competitions

The draws for the 2023 Ayrshire Junior Golf league competitions were made at the league meeting held at Caprington GC on Tuesday the 7th of February.

Eight clubs will contest THE AYRSHIRE JUNIOR GOLF LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP in 2023.

Title holders West Kilbride have been drawn in Section A along with Prestwick St Nicholas, Kilmarnock Barassie and 2022 championship runners up Irvine.

Section B will be contested by the combined East Ayrshire clubs team, Ayr Belleisle, Troon Welbeck and Prestwick St Cuthbert.

The winners of the two sections will go forward to the League Championship final, which will take place in late August.

In the UNDER 16 KNOCKOUT TROPHY competition there is one preliminary round tie, with Turnberry hosting Troon Welbeck, with the tie to be played by the 31st of May.

The draw for the first round of the championship, with ties to be played by the 30th of June, is:-

Kilmarnock Barassie Vs. Turnberry or Troon Welbeck

West Kilbride Vs. Prestwick St Cuthbert

Ayr Belleisle vs. Irvine

East Ayrshire Vs. Prestwick St Nicholas

The WALLACE THORNTON TROPHY competition reverts to a single tie scratch team knockout event in 2023, with eight member clubs taking part.

The draw for the first round matches, which are to be completed by the 30th of June, is:-

East Ayrshire Vs. Turnberry

Irvine Vs. Ayr Belleisle

Prestwick St Nicholas Vs. Kilmarnock Barassie

Troon Welbeck Vs West Kilbride 

In the JUNIOR CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS TROPHY competition, one preliminary round sees the West Kilbride representative play host to his counterpart from Irvine, with the tie to be completed by the 31st of May.

The first round draw, with ties to be completed by the 30th of June is:-
