AYRSHIRE JUNIOR ORDER OF MERIT - Ryan Kennedy still in front with eight events remaining

Ryan Kennedy (Irvine) still remains just in front in the chase for the Ayrshire Junior Order of Merit title, with eight counting events remaining, following completion of the latest two counting competitions.

In the Trump Turnberry Junior Open Ruben Lindsay (Turnberry) took maximum points with a scratch score of 69, in an event which also saw Oliver Kane (Prestwick St Nicholas) achieve a hole in one at the 6th hole on the King Robert the Bruce course.

Jack Broadfoot (Troon Welbeck) closed the gap at the top of the Order of merit to a mere 2.5 points after sharing third place points at the Ayrshire Boys Championship, and will have the opportunity to potentially take over at the top of the table if he reaches the semi finals of the Ayrshire Boys Matchplay Championship at Prestwick GC next week.

The next three counting events for the Junior Order of Merit are the Ayrshire Boys Matchplay Championship at Prestwick, the Ballochmyle Junior Open and the British Boys & Girls Championships.
