THE AYRSHIRE JUNIOR GOLF LEAGUE - chase still on for final place

The teams in qualifying Grop B of the 2021 Ayrshire Junior Golf league championship are still battling to try to secure a place in this years final match.

With Irvine through to the final of the Ayrshire Junior Golf League championship, after winning qualifying Group A, Troon Welbeck are now in pole position for the other place in the final following recent results in qualifying Group B.

Ayr Belleisle shared the spoils in a 3 – 3 draw at Prestwick S Nicholas whilst Troon Welbeck travelled to play the east Ayrshire team, and returned a victory by 5.5 – 0.5 to move to the top of the league.

With five fixtures still to be completed in the qualifying section, present positions are:-

In the remaining fixtures, Troon Welbeck host east Ayrshire and travel to Prestwick St Nicholas whilst Ayr Belleisle have their two fixtures, home and away, to play against East Ayrshire, whilst the other outstanding fixtures sees Prestwick St Nicholas host East Ayrshire.
