AYRSHIRE HANDICAP LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP - Update in all seven qualifying sections

Matches have been played in all seven qualifying sections of the 2021 Ayrshire Handicap League Championship recently, as teams push for a place in the knockout stages of the event.

In SECTION A, Turnberry recorded their first win of the season with a 6 – 0 home win over West Kilbride in their third fixture of the campaign.

In SECTION B, Kilmarnock Barassie top the table but their qualification hopes were dented, following a 3 – 3 draw in their final home match against Ayr Dalmilling and a defeat by 4 – 2 at Ardeer.

In SECTION C, Portmann surprised their hosts, Ayr Belleisle, with a 4 – 2 away win whilst Loudoun moved into second place in the table following a 5 – 1 away win against Portmann.

In SECTION D, Auchenharvie 88 moved to the top of the table following a 4 – 2 away win against Stewarton, after Caprington drew their last match 3 – 3 away to local rivals Annanhill.

In SECTION F, Redburn’s good start was dented, with a 4 – 2 defeat, away to Troon Merchants, whilst Routenburn recorded their first points of the campaign with a 5 – 1 win at home to Troon Merchants.

In SECTION G, Troon Welbeck lead the way after completing their home fixtures with 4.5 – 1.5 wins over Troon St Meddans and Royal Troon.

Royal Troon maintained their challenge with a 4 – 2 home win over Troon St Meddans whilst Tam O Shanter got their first points on the table with a narrow 3.5 – 2.5 home win over Prestwick St Cuthbert.
