AYRSHIRE JUNIOR GOLF LEAGUE - Results update



The Ayrshire Junior Golf League events are progressing to a conclusion, with the finals due to be completed during September.

In Section A of THE AYRSHIRE JUNIOR GOLF LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP, Irvine are on top after recent results which included a 4 – 2 win away at Caprington, a 4.5 – 1.5 win at Ballochmyle and a 3 – 3 draw at home to Kilmarnock Barassie.

Irvine have one match remaining to play, at home to Ballochmyle.

Kilmarnock Barassie, with a 4 – 2 home win against Ballochmyle and a 3 – 3 draw in the return fixture, can still overcome Irvine at the top of the table, if they win their remaining two fixtures against Caprington, both home and away.

In Section B of THE AYRSHIRE JUNIOR GOLF LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP, Ayr Belleisle have completed all their matches and secured a place in the final, with their last three results being a 3 – 3 draw at home to Loudoun, a 4.5 – 1.5 away win at Troon Welbeck and a 5.5 – 0.5 win in their return match against Loudoun away from home.

In the JUNIOR CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS TROPHY, Ruben Lindsay (Ayr Belleisle) is through to the final after beating Rob Yorston (Loudoun) in the semi final at Loudoun by 7&5.

The other semi final is between Jamie McKinnon (Caprington) and either Josh Davies (Troon Welbeck) or John Park (West Kilbride).

In the UNDER 16 KNOCKOUT TROPHY competition, Irvine are through to the final after a 3 – 1 home win over Troon Welbeck in the semi final.

The other semi final features Ardeer or Ayr Belleisle against West Kilbride or Prestwick St Nicholas.

In the WALLACE THORNTON TROPHY competition there is no further information regarding the semi finals and their status so far.
