DOC THOM SALVER - Ayrshire Order of Merit update

Michael Smyth (Royal Troon) still leads the way in the 2019 Ayrshire Order of Merit for the Doc Thom Salver, following completion of the latest two qualifying events last week.

Second place behind Jim Johnston (Ayr Belleisle) in the 36 hole Belleisle Cup consolidated Smyth's lead in the table from Scott Brown (Prestwick St Cuthbert), who himself picked up maximum points in the Ayr Seafield Open and points for seventh place in the Belleisle Cup.

Jim Johnston's win in the Belleisle Cup propelled him into third place in the Order of Merit table.

The next two counting events are the McGilchrist Cup at Ardeer on Saturday 15th June and The Amateur Championship, which takes place from 17th to 22nd June in Ireland.
