AYRSHIRE HANDICAP LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP - Latest positions

A number of matches have been played recently in all four qualifying sections in the 2019 Ayrshire handicap League Championship competition. With all results received by 3rd May included, the present league positions are:-


In SECTION A, Auchenharvie made it two wins from two when they defeated their visitors from Rowallan Castle by 4 – 2, whilst Ballochmyle opened with a useful away win at Prestwick St Cuthbert by 3.5 – 2.5.

In SECTION B, a 5-1 home win over Stewarton took Tam O Shanter to the top of the table, whilst Ayr Seafield recorded their first win of the campaign with a 5 – 1 home win over Stewarton.

In SECTION C, Ravenspark moved to the top of the table courtesy of a 4 – 2 win away to Troon Welbeck, but also suffered a 4 – 2 defeat at home to Troon St Meddans, who reversed the result when the two club met at Troon earlier in the campaign.

Troon Welbeck gained their first points when their match away to New Cumnock was conceded by the host club.

In SECTION D, Beith remain unbeaten, moving to the top of the table with a 3.5 – 2.5 home win over Troon Portland in their latest fixture.

Loudoun moved into second place in the table with a 4 – 2 home win over Redburn and a 3 – 3 draw away to Braehead, whilst West Kilbride gained their first points of the year with a 5 – 1 home win over Braehead.
