BOYS' QUADRANGULAR TOURNAMENT - Ruben Lindsay shines at Troon Darley

Starred for Scotland's Under 16's

Ruben Lindsay (Ayr Belleisle) starred in the Scotland Under 16 team that won all three of their matches when the annual Boys’ Under 16 Quadranguar Tournament, featuring Scotland, Ireland, Wales and Netherlands took place over the Troon Darley course from 20th to 22nd April.

On the opening day Scotland defeated wales 5.5 – 3.5 with Ruben Lindsay teaming up with Adam Cameron (Royal Burgess) for a 2&1 foursomes victory before winning his afternoon singles tie by 3&1.

The second day saw Scotland face Ireland and again Ruben Lindsay contributed full points, partnering Adam Cameron once more to a crushing 8&6 foursomes victory before adding a 2 hole win in his singles tie in the afternoon, as Scotland romped to a 7 – 2 victory.

Scotland completed their tournament success with another 7 – 2 win on the final day against The Netherlands. Lindsay and Cameron completed their 100% foursomes record with a 5&4 win in the morning and in the afternoon singles Ruben Lindsay secured a half point to finish the tournament unbeaten, having contributed 5.5 of a possible 6 points to Scotland’s victory overall.
