The Ayrshire Golf Association competitions got under way for 2019, in sunny weather at Prestwick St Nicholas on Sunday 21st April, when teams from ten member clubs gathered to contest the Ayrshire Junior Team Championship.

The weather was fine all day, though a stiff breeze whipped up from the sea during the course of the afternoon to make the course a stern test for competitors.

There was some fine scoring returned, with both the 0 - 9 and 10 - 28 handicap classes being won with nett scores of two under par 67, with the successful players being Max Barclay (Ayr Belleisle) and Ryan Kennedy (Loudoun) respectively.
