SCOTTISH MENS AREA TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP - two changes for Ayrshire team at Cawder

Ayrshire have had two changes to their team for the Scottish Mens Area team Championship which takes place at Cawder Golf Club from Friday 7th to Sunday 9th September.

Jack Broun, Michael Smyth, Craig Hamilton

Craig Hamilton (Ballochmyle) and Sandy Buchanan (Prestwick St Nicholas) come in to replace Jim Johnston, who has been called up to the Scotland squad for the Home Internationals, and Tommy McInally who had to withdraw from the team for personal reasons.

Hoping to add to their three previous successes in the competition, in 1986, 2008 and 2015, the six strong Ayrshire team will play strokeplay qualifying rounds on Friday in a bid to secure one of the eight places in the matchplay rounds which take place on Saturday morning and afternoon and culminate in a final on Sunday.
