EAST OF SCOTLAND OPEN - Stuart Easton runner up at Lundin Links

Stuart Easton (Irvine) was runner up in the 72 hole East Of Scotland Open, played at Lundin Golf Club on Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd July.

Easton had rounds of 71 and 70 on Saturday and followed with closing rounds of 72 and 68 on Sunday for a three under par total of 281 which left him just two shots adrift of the winner James White of the host club.

Sandy Buchanan (Prestwick St Nicholas) finished joint 13th on 297, 13 over par, with rounds of 71, 72, 79 and 75.

Shaun Hedger (West Kilbride) failed to make the half way cut with rounds of 78 and 79 on Saturday for a 157 total.

Also failing to progress to the second day were Malcolm Pennycott (Whiting Bay) on 159 (78, 81) and Jim Johnston (Ayr Belleisle) who retired after an opening round of 73, two over par.
