COMMENT
The cancellation of the Pollock Trophy highlights a growing trend in junior golf in the county of lack of support for open competitions and in particular in entering events in good time to let organisers make the necessary arrangements.
This problem is not confined to club events, with the entry for the Boys County Championship being ridiculously low, with less than a week to go until the closing date.
Comments would be welcome on this or the facebook post on what the players see as the issue, and any suggestions as to how the support of junior opens in the county could be improved.
Maybe good idea for juniors to be able to apply for entry online.
