Turnberry moved to the top of the Division
1 table in the Ayrshire Scratch leagues this week, following a 4 – 2 home win over
Ballochmyle on Friday night.
J.G. Boyle and P Keenan got the home side
off to the best possible start with wins by 5 & 4 and 2 & 1 over W.
Fleming & D. Orchiston respectively.
A 5 & 4 win by A Connor over D.
Muir gave Turnberry a three tie advantage before B Wilson reduced the deficit for
Ballochmyle with a one hole win over G McIvor.
J McMurdo kept the Ballochmyle hopes alive
with a 2 & 1 win over B McCulloch but in the final tie paul ferguson
secured the match win for Turnberry with a 2 & 1 win against C. McCurdy
