UNDER 16 BOYS QUADRANGULAR TOURNAMENT - Netherlands lead as Scotland lose out to hosts on day two

The Scotland Under 16 team, with Ayrshire's Jack Broun (Ayr Belleisle & Turnberry) and Cameron Johnston (Troon Welbeck) in the side, lost 8.5 - 3.5 to hosts ireland on day two of the three day Quadrangular International Tournament on Thursday 31st March.

Scotland, who had opened the three-day tournament brightly with a 7-5 win over Wales, were cut down to size by hosts Ireland on Day 2 of the Under-16 boys' quadrangular international at Hilton Templepatrick Golf Club, Northern Ireland today.

The Scots boys were up against it from the start, losing the foursomes 3-1, then the singles 5.5-2.5 for an overall defeat margin of 8.5 to 3.5.

Netherlands, 7-5 winners over Wales today, are now favourites to the title, having won both their matches for a total of 4pt out of 4.

Scotland and Ireland are sharing second place with 2pt. 

Scotland play Netherlands in their final match.
