As the competition in the four Ayrshire Scratch leagues
enters the final four weeks, some of the competition for the title are becoming
very closely fought.
In DIVISION 1, no further results have been reported
recently, with Irvine looking likely to retain their title as Loudoun are the
only team who can match their points total, though they would need to win their
remaining four games by a comfortable margin.

In DIVISION 2, West Kilbride closed the gap on leaders
Turnberry with a narrow 3.5 – 2.5 home win in their recent clash.
The
destination of the tile now lies with four clubs, Turnberry, Ayr Belleisle,
West Kilbride and Girvan all still able to win the divisional title with five
fixtures still to be completed.

In DIVISION 3, Prestwick St Nicholas and Largs shared the
spoils with 4.5 – 1.5 home wins recorded in their two meetings, whilst Largs
moved off bottom spot in the table when they added a 3.5 – 2.5 home win over Caprington
recently.
Troon St Meddans still remain title favourites with two
matches still to play, though any slip ups could see one of the other title
challengers snatch the glory from the Troon club.
