AYRSHIRE CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS - Moultrie and Robin win through to final

The final of the 2015 Ayrshire Champion Of Champions Trophy will be between Paul Moultrie (Royal Troon) and Stuart Robin (Prestwick St Cuthbert) after the two semi final matches were played in warm an sunny conditions at Royal Troon on Friday 7th August.

In the first semi final, Paul Moultrie, who previously won the title in 2008 as a member of the Troon Portland club, played Stuart Miller (Kilmarnock Barassie), who was runner up in the county matchplay championship earlier in the year.

Paul Moultrie won through to the final with a 3 & 2 victory, and is now only one step away from becoming the first member of the host club to win the title.

In the second semi final Stuart Robin, a quarter finalist in the Scottish Amateur Championship at Muirfield earlier this month, played Craig Hamilton (Ballochmyle) who was beaten finalist in the event two years ago.

Like Paul Moultrie, Stuart Robin booked his place in next weeks final with a 3 & 2 victory.





The final is scheduled to be played on Friday 14th August at Royal Troon, teeing off at 4.30 p.m.
