| Jack McDonald Best for Scots on day one |
Despite a two under par round from Jack
McDonald (Kilmarnock Barasie), Scotland are on the brink in their bid to
qualify for the top flight of the 2015 European team Championships following
the opening round of strokeplay qualifying on Tuesday 7th July at Halmstad Golf Club, Sweden.
Scotland lie in ninth place on 367 after round
one. Though McDonald and Grant Forrest both returned scores under par, the
other four members of the team struggled, and now face an uphill battle to make
the top eight for the Matchplay stages.
With five of the six scores counting towards
the team total, the Scotland team scores were :-
