AYRSHIRE JUNIOR ORDER OF MERIT - Ferguson leads title chase

Ayrshire Junior Order Of merit title
Euan Ferguson (Turnberry) leads the Ayrshire Junior Order Of merit table, with over half of the qualifying events now completed.

The cancellation of The Pollock Trophy at Kilmarnock (Barassie) reduced the number of qualifying events to nineteen, of which nine now remain to be played.

Ferguson took maximum points from the 36 hole Harris Trophy at West Kilbride last week as well as finishing in fourth place at the Turnberry Junior Open the week previously.

Top spot at both the Turnberry and Largs junior opens moved Calum irvine (Ayr Belleisle) into second place in the table whlst Jack Broun (Ayr Belleisle) picked up points in three of the last four counting events to move into third place.

The next counting event is the Prestwick St Nicholas Junior Open on 27th July, with the remaining eight counting competitions scheduled for August, culminating in the Prestwick Boys Open on Friday 14th.
