GREENLEES TROPHY - Troon Ladies lead early Ayrshire challenge

Troon Ladies lead a strong early challenge from Ayrshire clubs in the 2015 West Of Scotland Ladies Inter Club Leagues for the Greenlees Trophy.


The Troon Ladies club have opened their Division One campaign this year with an 8 - 1 home win against Douglas park, as well as a 5 - 4 away win at Loudoun and a 4 - 4 draw at West Kilbride, and presently lie in second place in the table behind Milngavie.

Despite defeat at home by Troon Ladies, Loudoun are in third place following a 7.5 - 1.5 home win over Kilmarnock Barassie and a 5 - 4 win away from home over leaders Mlngavie.

In the other matches involving Ayrshire clubs in Division 1 played so far, Kilmarnock Barassie have enjoyed home wins by 8 - 1 and 6 - 3 over Milngavie and Cathkin Braes respectively, whilst West Kilbride went down 6 - 3 at home to Cathkin Braes and lost 5 - 4 away to Whitecraigs.

Present positions in Division 1 are :-

16.5 - Loudoun
15.5 - Kilmarnock Barassie
11.5 - West Kilbride
9.5   - Ranfurly Castle
9.5   - Whitecraigs
9.0   - Douglas Park

In DIVISION 2, Ayr Belleisle lead the challenge from the three Ayrshire clubs in the division, having opened with a 5.5 - 3.5 home win over Lenzie before losing away matches to Williamwood and Erskine by 5.5 - 3.5 and 8 - 1 respectively.

Prestwick St Nicholas have only played one fixture so far which resulted in a 7.5 - 1.5 home win over Lenzie, whilst Largs opened with an away defeat, by 7 - 2 at Old Ranfurly before bouncing back with an away win by 6 - 3 at Lenzie.

Present positions in Division 2 are :-
