AYRSHIRE LADIES COUNTY CHAMPIONSHIP - Malcolm Vs Allan in final

The final of the Ayrshire ladies County Golf Association Championship, being played at Western Gailes Gc this week, will be between Catherine Malcolm (Prestwick St Cuthbert) and Linzi Allan (West Kilbride), following completion of the semi finals on Wednesday morning.

In the first semi final, Catherine Malcolm defeated leading qualifier Emma Hale (Troon Ladies). Two holes ahead with three to play, Malcolm lost the sixteenth and saw a putt to win at the seventeenth spin out of the hole before holing from five feet at the last for a one hole victory.

In the other semi finjal, Linzi Allan kept her title defence bid on track with a 3 & 2 victory over Audrey Thompson (Loudoun).

The final tees off at 2.00 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon, 15th April.
