AYRSHIRE JUNIOR GOLF LEAGUE DINNER - 2014 winners honoured at Prestwick St Nicholas

The 2014 Ayrshire Golf association Annual Dinner took place at Prestwick St Nicholas Golf Club on Monday 3rd November, with the winners from the season being presented with their awards.

Hosted by League Chairman John Stobie (Prestwick St Nicholas) the sell out event, saw attendees enjoy an excellent meal before the presentation of the awards.







As  is somewhat traditional, David Reynolds of The National Playing Fields Association presented the first two awards, the Macrobert Thistle Trophies for the outstanding girl and boy golfer in Ayrshire during 2014.

The girls award this year went to Emma Hale (Troon Ladies) who had an excellent season both domestically and at a national level.

The boys award went to Jack Thomas (Irvine) who appeared at the prize table frequently throughout the evening following an outstanding season that saw him become the first player to win the 'grand slam' of all four major county junior titles in a single season.










The remaining prizes were presented by Ayrshire Golf Association President James McMurdo (Ballochmyle) before the evening was brought to a close by League Secretary Billy Tait who proposed the vote of thanks.
