AYRSHIRE SCRATCH LEAGUES - Prestwick St Cuthbert win Division 2 showdown to take league title

Prestwick St Cuthbert GC won the Division 2 showdown this week against Ayr Belleisle to secure the championship title and promotion to Division 1 in 2015.

Winners of the Division 3 title in 2011, Prestwick St Cuthbert hosted nearest rivals Ayr Belleisle in their final match of the season, needing a win to take the title, and the home side made no mistake with a 4.5 - 1.5 win.

 With two matches remaining in the division, the relegation decider looks likely to be the match between Ardeer and Caprington, with the Kilmarnock club needing to take something from the match to ensure survival, whilst Ardeer need a win against Caprington and at least a draw in their remaining two home matches to make sure of Division 2 status for 2015.
