AYRSHIRE LADIES COUNTY CHAMPIONSHIP - Linzi Allan takes top qualifying place at Glasgow Gailes

Linzi Allan from West Kilbride was the top qualifier in the 2014 Ayrshire Ladies County Golf Association Championship, being played at Glasgow Gailes from 8th to 10th April.

The strokeplay qualifying round was held yesterday, Tuesday 8th April, in strong winds, and Allan returned an excellent level par 71 to lead the qualifying by 6 shots from Catherine Malcolm (Prestwick St Cuthbert) on 76. Defending champion Connie Jaffrey was one shot further back on 77.

The best net score of the day was a 66 by Margaret White (Prestwick St Nicholas), playing off a handicap of 21.
