SCOTTISH LADIES TOUR - Chance for Ayrshire playetrs to shine as tour heads to Glasgow area

The fledgling Scottish Ladies Golf Tour comes to the West coast at the end of this month, giving Ayrshire players the opportunity to test their skills against professionals in two tournaments that are almost on the doorstep of the county.

With a number of notable performances this year in all levels of women's amateur and professional golf from local players, it would be good to see some local involvement in the two events, at Haggs Castle and Drumpellier on 30 September and 1 October respectively.

Further information can be obtained from tournament director Nicola Melville on 07816 353434, with more info on the following article taken from the www.kirkwoodgolf.co.uk website

PAUL LAWRIE SCOTTISH LADIES OPEN TOUR
GLASGOW AREA DOUBLE-HEADER

Tournament Director Nicola Melville would like more
entries for the forthcoming double-header of 18-hole,
back-to-back competitions in the Glasgow area.

What about the lady/senior lady/ girl amateurs down Ayrshire way?

This is the closest the Paul Lawrie Ladies Tour will get to you, this
year at least.

Why don't you test your skills against the best lady
pros in Scotland?

Amateur entrants must have a single-figure handicap.
If no amateur figures in the official prize list, roughly
top 12, depending on the size of the field, there will
be  consolation prizes of several dozen golf balls for
1-2-3 leading amateurs.

THE DRUMPELLIER EVENT HAS ADDITIONAL, FOUR-FIGURE SPONSORSHIP FROM GAVIN WATSON, PRINTERS

NEWS RELEASE
Gavin Watson Printers were founded over 150 years ago in 1863 and was believed to be the first company in Scotland to purchase a lithography printing press which was used to initially specialise in the printing of ornate share certificates. After considerable investment and hard work from all our staff over the last few years we have gained a formidable reputation for being one of the best wet glue label printers in the UK!
From our purpose-built factory south of Glasgow, we currently produce in excess of 1.3 billion wet glue applied labels annually for clients such as Highland Spring Group, Nestle UK, AG Barr Plc, Diageo, McBride Plc., Innocent Drinks and Baxters Food Group to name but a few.
Our service begins with an in-depth understanding of our customer's needs. This includes the provision of products that meet their requirements at the right time, the right place and the right price. It also includes the availability of after sales services, technical support, and comprehensive and understandable information.

Our goal is to continue to invest in the latest technology, train our staff to be the very best at what they do and offer our clients an unrivalled quality of service, product and experience.

Whilst on the subject of sponsorship, and the lack of a Paul Lawrie Ladies Tour event in Ayrshire, there is surely a local club out there willing to host such an event and a local sponsor willing to provide sufficient sponsorship to make it happen. The sponsorship level is in four figures to make the event happen, but the minimum sponsorship required is not excessively into the four figure bracket.

If any club or individual wishes to consider getting involved in staging a tour event in Ayrshire next season, then forward details through our contact details and these will be passed on to tournament organisers.
