AYRSHIRE SCRATCH LEAGUES - Update

The few remaining matches in the Ayrshire Scratch Leagues should be completed over the next couple of weeks.

In LEAGUE DIVISION 1, only the match between West Kilbride and Troon Welbeck remains to be played, with Loudoun retaining the championship title and West Kilbride relegated to Division 2 next year.

In LEAGUE DIVISION 2, Prestwick St Cuthbert remain in pole position with Ballochmyle the only team with any chance of overtaking them for the title.
With only an away match at Ayr Belleisle remaining, Prestwick St Cuthbert need a draw to secure the Division 2 title. Ballochmyle's challenge faultered last week with a 4 - 2 defeat at Latrgs, although they got their title hopes back on track on Sunday 15th September with a 3.5 - 2.5 win at Ardeer. If Prestwick St Cuthbert slip up in their final match at Belleisle, Ballochmyle will need only a win in their final fixture, also at Belleisle, to snatch the title from St Cuthbert's grasp.
The one other outstanding fixture in the section is between Largs and Caprington, with all the remaining matches having a bearing on who is relegated to Division 3 next season.
