Louis Murray (Troon Welbeck) is just one step away from a County Championship double, after the semi finals of the Ayrshire Boys Matchplay Championship were played at Prestwick Golf Club on Wednesday evening, 7th August.

The newly crowned Strokeplay Champion faced
Shaun Hedger (West Kilbride) in the semi final and kept his hopes of a second county crown alive with a one hole victory to book his place in the final on Thursday evening.
The player who now stands in Murray's way is
Darryl Lynch (Ayr Belleisle) who comfortably booked his place in the final with a 4 & 2 win over
Callum Gorrie (Kilmarnock Barassie) in the other semi final.
The final, on Thursday 8th August, tees of at 4.00 p.m.
