Connie Jaffrey (Troon Ladies) is the 2013 Scottish Girls Golf Champion after winning the final against  Tara McTaggart (Minto)   by 4 & 3 at a sun soaked Ranfurly Castle GC on Saturday morning, 20th July.

The 16 year old, who won the Ayrshire Ladies County Championship for the first time earlier this year, and also won the Scottish Schoolgirls title a few weeks ago recorded some impressive scoring on her way to the title.

Jaffrey bogeyed the first home to go behind in the match, for the only time as it transpired, but immediately squared the match with a birdie four at the second.
Three birdies in the next five holes saw Jaffrey forge a three hole lead by the turn.

A bogey by Jaffrey at the tenth hole allowd Mctaggart to reduce the deficit to two, but again Jaffrey hit back with a birdie four at the next hole to restore her three hole advantage through fourteen.

In closing out the match, Jaffrey took the championship in style, a birdie three at the fifteenth hole rounding of her 4 & 3 victory.
