AYRSHIRE JUNIOR ORDER OF MERIT - easton moves into second place after 5 events

The new West Of Scotland Boys Matchplay Champion Stuart Easton (Irvine) has moved up to second place in the Ayrshire Junior Order Of Merit table after the latest two results were posted, from Royal Troon and Loudoun.

Easton was runner up to the winner, W. Kerr (Craigielaw) in the Byrne Howard Boys Open at Royal Troon last month, which took him up to second in the table behind Sean Cook (Kilmarnock Barassie).

In the other counting event recorded recently, local member Aidan Dore took full points in the Loudoun Junior Open to move into fourth place in the table.

Results from counting events at Ardeer and Troon Welbeck are awaited and have still to be added, as have the points from the West Kilbride Boys Open played on 16th July.
