The Ayrshire Ladies team avoided the wooden spoon in the 2013 West Of Scotland Inter County matches, played at Bothwell Castle GC this week, when they defeated Dumbarton & Argyll on Wednesday in the final match of the series.
With both teams pointless after the opening two matches, the defeated side were destines for bottom spot in the table.
Leading 2 - 1 after the morning foursomes, Ayrshire took the afternoon singles 4 - 2 for a 6 - 3 win overall.
In the title decider, Renfrewshire beat Lanarkshire by 6.5 - 2.5 to retain the West crown.
