SCOTTISH BOYS CHAMPIONSHIP - Easton & Walker through to last 16

Ayrshire have two representatives in the last 16 of the 2013 Scottish Boys Championship, being played at Monifieth this week. 


Stuart Easton (Irvine) won his fourth round match against Hamish Mills (Cardross), who is also a Largs member, at the first extra hole, his second success at the 19th hole this week.

In Thursday afternoon's last 16 tie, Easton faces 8th seed Callum Hill (Tantallon) for a place in the quarter finals.






Euan Walker


The other Ayrshire player through to the last 16 is boys internationalist Euan Walker (Kilmarnock Barassie) who won his fourth round tie against clubmate and fellow Ayrshire Under 18 team member ,Blair Gavin, by 4 & 3.

In Thursday afernoon's fifth round, Walker will play fifth seed Alan Waugh (Cowglen) for a place in the last eight.

As well as Blair Gavin, two other Ayrshire players bowed out in the fourth round.

Louis Murray (Troon Welbeck) lost out to Ben Kinsley (St Andrews New) by 4 & 3, whilst Darryl Lynch (Ayr Belleisle) went down by two holes to Callum McGuigan (Comrie)
