MCEVOY TROPHY - Walker top for Scots at Copt Heath

Euan Walker (Kilmarnock Barassie) finished the Scot-in joint seventh place - in the Peter McEvoy Trophy Under-18 boys' stroke play golf tournament at Copt Heath Golf Club, Solihull on Thursday 18th April.

Walker had scores of 75, 73, 73 and 73 for 10-over-par 294, seven shots behind the winner by three, Bradley Moore (Kedleston Park) (69-74-71-73 for three over par 287).

Last year's Scottish schoolboys champon Connor Syme (Dumfries and Co) finished just outside the top 10 with rounds of 71, 77, 71 and 76 for 295 and a share of 11th place.

Ben Kinsley (St Andrews New) faded into 16th place with a last round of 79 after earlier scores of 72, 75 and 73.

Calum Hill (Tantallon) came joint 32nd on 306 with scores of 73, 76, 79 and 78.

Greg Forrester (Lundin) totalled 309 for a share of 36th place with rounds of 77, 74, 77 and 81.

Moore won by three shots from Ashton Turner (Kenwick Park) who had scores of 69, 75, 71 and 75 for 290.

Three players - Adam Chapman (Windermere) (76-74-73-68), Harry Ellis (Moon Valley) (74-74-73-70) and Jack Singh Brar (Brokenhurst Manor) (75-74-70-72) - tied for third place on 291.
