SCOTTISH AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIP - Black Thursday for Ayrshire as last three lose out last 32

Ayrshire hopes in the 2012 Scottish Amateur Championship at Royal Dornoch were snuffed out on Thursday morning when the remaining three competitors lost out in the last 32.

All three of the hopefuls lost their fourth round matches by 2 & 1 as the Ayrshire challenge finished for another year.

Charlie Macneal (Troon Welbeck) had a tough task, being up against number one seed Graeme Robertson (Glenbervie), whilst Stuart Robin (Prestwick St Nicholas) lost to Richard Docherty (Bearsden) and last man standing, Michael Smyth (Royal Troon) went out to Fraser Moore (Glenbervie)
