Euan Walker (Kilmarnock Barassie) is the 2012 Ayrshire Boys Champion after a three stroke victory over defending champion Callum Beveridge (Troon Welbeck) at Largs on Thursday 2nd August.
In perfect, sunny conditions, Walker led from start to finish following a superb three under par 70 in the first round, the only round under par returned by the entire field during the competition.
Defending champion Beveridge kept the pressure on Walker in round 1, returning a level par round of 70 with the highlight being an albatross two at the par five third hole.
A second round 72 left Walker on 139 and, playing in the game behind, Beveridge could only match Walker's afternoon effort, leaving him three strokes adrift on 142.
Stuart Easton (Irvine) took third place on 150 after rounds of 73 & 77 for a 150 total.
