Blair Gavin (Kilmarnock Barassie) beat clubmate Robbie Fulker in the final of the Troon Links Championship over Royal Troon last Friday, 29th June, to take the title for the first time.16 year old Gavin, who is also a member of Royal Troon, won 4 & 2 in wet conditions against his opponent who is a full 49 years his senior.
Royal Troon captain Ernest Mutter handed over the Links Trophy to the new champion at the end of the match.
