Three successive threes at the closing holes of the outward nine saw Stamper turn in 34, two under par. A bogey five at the tenth was immediately followed by a birdie three at the eleventh and a further bogey five at the fifteenth was countered by a birdie three at the seventeenth to bring Stamper home in level par 35 for his record score of 69.

None of the remaining teams on the coursecould challenge Girvan's total however as the South Ayrshire club took custody of the R.L Crawford Trophy for 2012 and the title of Ayrshire Club Champions
Girvan will now become Ayrshire's nominated club to go forward and contest the Scottish Club Championship at Arbroath on 30th September.
At the conclusion of play, Ayrshire Golf Association President David Miller presented prizes to the winning team.
