THE WALKER CUP - Stewart named in GB & I side

Michael Stewart (Troon Welbeck) has been named in the GB & I side for the forthcoming Walker Cup match.

Today, the R and A anounced the Great Britain and Ireland team for the Walker Cup, being played at Royal Aberdeen Golf Club. The team will face the United States of America over Saturday and Sunday, September and 11.

Stewart is joined in the team by fellow Scot James Byrne, whilst new Scotish Amatuer Champion David law and Scotland internationalist Ross Kellett have been named as reserves.
