AYRSHIRE SENIORS LEAGUE - Close finish assured as St Cuthbert remain top.

The Ayrshire Seniors League is moving towards a close finish as matches progress towards their conclusion in mid September.

In their only match in July, Prestwick St Cuthbert beat their visitors and close rivals West Kilbride by 3 - 2 to remain at the top of the table.

A 4 - 1 home win by West Kilbride over Loudoun kept the Seamill club in the hunt in joint second place alongside Prestwick St Nicholas woh had mixed fortunes in their two July fixtures, beating Ardeer 3 - 2 at home but losing 4 - 1 away at Ballochmyle.

In the other fixtures played in July, Kilbirnie lost 3 - 2 at home to Ballochmyle and lost by 5 - 0 away to Kilmarnock (Barassie)
