AYRSHIRE JUNIOR ORDER OF MERIT - Wilson still leads Macneal in title race

Scottish Boys Champion David Wilson (Troon Welbeck) still leads title holder and clubmate Charlie Macneal in the chase for the 2011 Ayrshire Junior Order Of Merit, with just seven counting events still to be played.

With all results of events played now recorded, the remaining counting events are :-

4th August - Ayrshire Boys Championship
8th August - Ballochmyle Junior Open
9 - 14th August - British Boys Championship
11th August - North Ayrshire Boys Open
11th August - Ayr Belleisle Junior Open
9 - 11th August - Ayrshire Boys matchplay
28th August - Kilbirnie Place Junior Open

Charlie Macneal closed the gap on David Wilson with maximum points at West Kilbride and Troon Welbeck, although Wilson limited the gains with second placings at west Kilbride and Prestwick St Nicholas.

Second place at Loudoun and full points at Prestwick St Nicholas consolodated third place for Callum Gorrie (Kilmarnock Barassie) whilst full points at Loudoun moved Stephen Hill (Prestwick St Cuthbert) into joint fourth place with Louis Murray (Troon Welbeck).
