Further matches in two of the Ayrshire Junior Golf League events have been played recently, as the competitions move towards the semi final stages, with the draws for the penultimate round being made this week.In the JUNIOR CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS TROPHY Ross Hunter (West Kilbride) beat Callum Beveridge (Troon Welbeck) at the third extra hole in their quarter final match at West Kilbride.
Hunter now joins Euan Walker (Kilmarnock Barassie) and Alan Watson (Ballochmyle) in the semi finals, along with the Ayrshire Boys matchplay Champion David Wilson, who won at the first extra hole away from home in his quarter final match against Daniel Webster (Prestwick St Cuthbert).
In the UNDER 16 KNOCKOUT TROPHY COMPETITION, Kilmarnock (Barassie) had a 3 - 1 away win at Troon welbeck to claim the last semi final spot.
