AYRSHIRE CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS - Sweeney sets up semi final showdown with holder

Adam Sweeney (Largs Routenburn) claimed the last semi final place in the Ayrshire Champion Of Champions Trophy competition this week, to set up a showdown with the holder Tommy McInally (Loudoun) at Royal Troon on Friday evening, for a place in the final next week.

Sweeney, playing at home, won his quarter final match against Gary Bryden (Girvan) by 6 & 5 to claim his place in the last four.

The semi finals, teeing off at 5.00 p.m. at Royal Troon on Friday evening, 5th August, are :-
