SCOTTISH AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIP - 39 Ayrshire players bid for title at Western Gailes

Defending champion Michael Stewart (Troon Welbeck) leads a group of 39 Ayrshire golfers amongst the field of 256 players bidding for the 2011 Scottish Amateur Championship title which takes place at Western Gailes from 25th to 30th July.

Former Scottish internationalist and 2008 championship runner up Steven McEwan (Caprington) is the first Ayrshire player to tee up in this years competition, playing in game number 1 at 0645 hrs on Monday 25th July against Michael Barcigalupo (Longniddry).
