SCOTTISH AREA TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP - Injury forces Stewart withdrawal

The wrist injury which forced Michael Stewart (Troon Welbeck) into a late withdrawal from the Lytham Trophy last week has also resulted in the Scottish Amateur Championship having to withdraw from the Ayrshire team that will contest the Scottish Area Team Championships, over Prestwick and Prestwick St Nicholas golf courses next weekend.

Form player Gary Bryden (Girvan), who lost out in the final of the Ayrshire matchplay Championship this week, has been drafted in to replace Michael Stewart in the Ayrshire team.
