CHARITY CHALLENGE - Rickman's epic cycle journey nears

Earlier this year we highlighted the charity challenge being undertaken by R & A Rules director, David Rickman, who will undertake a challenge to cycle the length of Britain, in aid of the British Lung Foundation.

David has undertaken this challenge in memory of his dad, who died in February 2010 of a respiratory condition..

The initial target set by David was to raise the substantial sum of £10,000. Thanks to the generosity of golfers and friends across the globe, david has since been able to revise the target to £20,000, which itself has now been reached.
The undernoted link to David's fundraiser page explains more.

As the date of the challenge nears, we are happy to support an appeal to all golfers to donate to David's charity appeal and hopefully boost the total still further before he takes off on his epic journey. Any ammount, large or small, would be appreciated.
The Fundraiser webpage above allows you to donate online by credit or debit card - all donations are secure and sent electronically to the British Lung Foundation.
If, however, you would prefer to send a cheque, this could be sent direct to David at The R & A in St. Andrews.

Once again we wish David all the best with his challenge and hope that many golfers will support David in his big adventure by sponsoring him for this worthwhile cause.

Details of the route and dates are :-

Sunday 22 May – Land’s End to Okehampton (117 miles / 117 miles in total)
