AYRSHIRE CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS - Holder McInally continues defence of title

The title holder Tommy McInally (Loudoun) sucessfully continued his bid to retain the Champion Of Champions Trophy recently when he secured his place in the semi finals.

Despite a run of away ties, McInally has succesfully negotiated his way into the last four. with his latest match ending the hopes of Gordon McKelvie (Royal Troon)

McKelvie, bidding for a place in the semi finals due to be played at Royal Troon on 6th August, pushed McInally all the way but the defending champion edged out his host by one hole to secure his place in the penultimate round.

The remaining three quarter final matches are due to be completed by 26th July.
