Ayrshire clubs have started well in the 2010 ladies West Of Scotland ladies inter club competition for the Greenlees Trophy.
In Division 1 there were winning starts for all three Ayrshire clubs.
West Kilbride had a fine 7 - 2 home win over Kilmacolm in thir first match of the campaign although Kilmarnock (Barassie) took the local honours, opening with a 8 - 1 win voer their visitors Douglas Park.
Troon Ladies opened their bid for silverware with a 5 - 4 win away from home, at Cardross.
In the second division, Ayrshire's only representatives, Prestwick St. Nicholas, bounced back from relegation last year when they opened their promotion bid with a 7.5 - 1.5 home win over Haggs Castle.
Matches continue on a home and away basis throughout the summer.
