With second round ties in the 2010 Ayrshire Fourball Championship due to be completed by 23rd May, a number of results have been decided recently.
2009 beaten finalists Scott McCahill and David Wallace (Maybole) - pictured right - secured a place in the last 16 with a one hole victory at home against Steven Dunn and John Brown of Ayr Seafield.
The Maybole pair now have another home tie, against Alex Hughes and Robert Kane of Auchenharvie, who received a walkover from Dennis Taggart Jr & Dennis Taggart Sr of Malletsheugh.
Also through to the third round are Andrew Mathieson and John Murdoch of Ballochmyle who beat Eamonn McFadden and Alex Cherry of Troon St. Meddans, by one hole at Troon.
In the third round, the Ballochmyle pair are at home to James Anderson and Ross McCrorie of Loudoun who booked their place with a 4 & 3 win away from home against Neil Mitchell and Colin Tulip of Doon Valley.
The only other team through to the third round so far are Lee McBurnie and Dale McBurnie of Kilbirnie Place who travelled to beat Leslie Aitchieson and Michael Moore of Brunston Castle by two holes.
