US COLLEGE GOLF - Linzi Allan in top six at Oklahoma

Ayrshire golfer Linzi Allan (Newman University, Wichita) had another good finish this week when she tied for sixth place in a field of 44 players at the Heartland Conference Tournament which was held at Rose Creek Golf Club, Edmond in Oklahoma.

Linzi returned rounds of 76 and 75 for 151 over the par 72 course to finish just five shots behind the winner, Emily Kvinta (St Edwards University).

Team mate Alyssa Balding from Northumberland shot 81 and 79 for a share of 18th place on 160 as Linzi's team finished on 624, and in third place out of nine teams, behind St Edwards University on 592 and Incarnate Word University on 620.
