BELHAVEN BEST SCOTTISH CLUB HANDICAP CHAMPIONSHIP - West Kilbride best of Ayrshire sides in grand final.

The grand final of the 2009 Belhaven Best Scottish Club handicap Championship was held at The Dukes, St. Andrews on Friday 18th September with the winners being the team of Graham Kilpatrick & Paul Bradley of Mount Ellen who finished on six under par, two ahead of their nearest challengers Balbirnie Park.

West Kilbride, represented by Ian Hoynes and Tommy Saunders, were the best placed of the Ayrshire clubs, finishing in 15th place on two over par.

Donald Anderson & George Scobie of Brunston Castle also finished on two over par, in 17th place.

The Troon Merchants pairing of John McMillan & Robert Sanderson were in 34th place on eight over par whilst Ian Brown & Scott Martin of Crosshouse finished in 37th place on 10 over par.
