AYRSHIRE SUMMER LEAGUE latest results

Two of the semi finalists in the 2009 Ayrshire Summer League have been decided as the qualifying sections near a conclusion.

In LEAGUE 1, Ballochmyle, despite a 5 - 1 defeat at St. Cuthbert, cruised into the semi finals with a 4 - 2 win at home to Caprington taking them to 20 points, 8 points ahead of nearest rivals Ayr Belleisle who signed off with a 4 - 2 defeat at Caprington.

LEAGUE 2 was won by Loudoun who went clear of their rivals with a 6 - 0 win over St. meddans in their final match.

In LEAGUE 3, Irvine, Kilbirne and Ravenspark are fighting it out for the semi final place, with advantage to Kilbirnie, who have 16 points as opposed to 12 for the other two clubs.

The final matches in the section take place on Friday 7th August and see Annanhill hosting Ravenspark and Irvine at home to Kilbirnie.

The play off for the last semi final place, betwen the winners of LEAGUES 4 & 5, sees Troon Welbeck with a 4.5 - 1.5 advantage over Beith with the return match at Welbeck scheduled for Friday 7th August.

In the semi finals Ballochmyle meet Loudoun whilst the winnersof the other sections will be paired in the second semi final.
